Erotica LA is one of the largest “adult” conventions in the world. The event was three full days of adult (porn) stars, sexy shows, clothing and toys of all shapes and sizes...And what Erotica would be complete without the extremely eccentric people.
The Los Angeles Convention Center was packed with what every man wants, but the greatest thing is that there were just as many women there! This just goes to show that the outward attention to sex is not just for men anymore.
There were aisles upon aisles of things to buy for pleasure and pain, but the main attractions were definitely the industries leading porn stars, Tera Patrick, Stormy Daniels, Briana Banks, Ron Jeremy...the list goes on and on!
People waited in line for tickets, then waited in even longer lines to meet their favorite adult stars. If you think it is just sex, sex, sex at every turn it’s not…you can even learn how to Salsa dance!
This was my first time attending the convention, and I must say it was very exciting. There were people walking around in fishnets, angel wings, booty shorts and even body paint. Everywhere you turned there was something new to see.
The shows put on the main stage were by far the most attention-grabbing, but what wasn’t? There were girls dancing on poles, music from every angle, and scenes of natural beauty on plasma screens throughout the venue.
I found myself very busy entertaining guests, as I too was one of the “exhibits.” Thanks to AVN (Adult Video Network) for bringing me on board. Signing autographs, taking pictures and talking to the guests really takes it out of a gal! I did however, get lucky enough to take a break and walk around the event!
While on my quest through the Convention Center I was ever so lucky to see my great friend Briana Banks, who said that after only a few hours she was exhausted, but was very pleased to be there to meet the fans.
I tried on some beautiful items of clothing and even made a deal for my very own Michelle Manhart “toy”…more on that in the future! Of course I had to stop at the “Deep Throat” try-outs and take in the bull riding.
After all that I was starving, so I hightailed it over to choose between Chinese food, tacos, ice cream and sandwiches. (I went with the Chinese noodles!) With so much to see and touch, it was hard (no pun intended) to drag myself back to my booth before seeing it all, but the “fans” were waiting.
This convention lends itself to all sorts of sexual activities and pleasure. I heard more than once, “This is my first time,” and when asked if they would return, “DEFINITELY!” There were also people there with their handy dandy event guides marking off each person they were there to see - obviously the more experienced visitors.
The only thing that I saw that disturbed me just a bit was a picketer outside with his “Jesus Loves You, Not Porn” sign, but it was all made better when I saw a couple of girls on the inside giving out “Jesus Loves Porn Stars Too” t-shirts. It just goes to show that believing in GOD doesn’t mean you cannot have an enjoyable sex life!
I truly had a wonderful time and would recommend visiting Erotica LA at your earliest convenience. If nothing else, then for the experience, and to be able to say you have "done it."
You will be surprised at the class, sophistication and absolute BEAUTY that surrounds this event. However, don’t be fooled; you will see some of the craziest things ever in your life - things you will tell all of your friends about, things you will want to take pictures of and things you will wish you never saw!
Remember, having an enjoyable sex life is an important part of life and happiness; it releases endorphins that allow for a happier you (true scientific statement). Just make sure and practice safe sex. That’s...The Naked Truth!
